Representatives of the Accreditation Service attend a meeting on patient safety in Switzerland
February 23-24 The Director of the State Accreditation Service for Health Care Activities under the Ministry of Health (Accreditation Service) Tadas Žentelis and Deputy Director Ramunė Vaitkevičienė together with the Minister of Health Arūnas Dulkiis and 600 participants from other countries of the world are visiting the city of Montreux (Switzerland) where they are participating in the 5th Global Health at a meeting of defense ministers on patient safety.
In his invitation to the event, the President of the Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset, states that patient safety is a global public health issue that affects all health systems around the world.
During the meeting in Switzerland, health ministers, high-level representatives and experts from all over the world will discuss perspectives for increasing patient safety, decide what steps can be taken to reduce harm to patients and share experiences on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on patient safety.
During the meeting, the Global 2021-2030 presented at the 74th World Health Assembly will also be discussed. implementation of the patient safety action plan.
