To help Ukrainian war refugees: specialists publish a memorandum on health services in Lithuania
The State Accreditation Service for Health Care Activities under the Ministry of Health (hereinafter referred to as the Accreditation Service) shares a memorandum prepared by the Ministry of Health and the State Health Insurance Fund to help people who have left Ukraine .
These foreigners, who have left their homeland in the turmoil of war and eventually reached Lithuania, have endless questions related not only to registration, accommodation, employment or education opportunities, but also to health care.
What health care services are available? Which ones are free? How to get the required service and where to apply specifically? What vaccines can be given? How to extend the treatment of serious diseases? How to get the right medication? All these and many other frequently asked questions were answered in the "Memory of Health Services in Lithuania for Foreigners Leaving Ukraine for Military Action in Ukraine" prepared by specialists.
The memorandum is published in Lithuanian, English, Ukrainian and Russian on the websites of the Health Insurance Funds and the Ministry of Health. It will also be distributed in paper format at migrant registration points, medical institutions, territorial health insurance funds, etc.
